Prior to Road to Knowhere, Ronan engaged in a battle with the Guardians of the Galaxy which cost him his life.
Power Vacuum[]
In "The Backstabbers", Irani Rael informs the Nova Corps that there is a Power Vacuum left by Ronan's Death in which Korath, Nebula, and Gamora compete for Thanos New spot for General.
Resurrection[]
In "Bad Moon Rising", Nebula goes to Mandala with the Universal Weapon who uses it's life-giving power and a special seed to resurrect Ronan. With the Guardians and Mandala uses their combine forces to defeat Nebula and Ronan in the procress.

- Ronan is the major antagonist in season 1
- This is Ronan's 7th Animated appearance. He first appeared as a Cameo in the 1998 Silver Surfer Animated series as a member of the wanderers, a group consisting of various alien races displaced by galactus.

Ronan possessed all of the various superhuman attributes common among his people, such as superhuman strength and an efficient healing factor.
- Kree Physiology: As a Kree, Ronan had the following superhuman abilities.
- Superhuman Strength: Ronan possessed enough strength to knock Drax around like a rag doll and could physically take on the entire Guardians team, single-handedly. He was thought to be one of the strongest of the Kree and was worshiped by some for his great power.
- Superhuman Durability: While not indestructible, Ronan had incredible durability that was well beyond that of a human.
- Superhuman Agility: Despite his massive size, Ronan was easily able to counter all the hits that Drax, in a drunken state, tried to give him, at least when he chose to do so.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: As with all Kree, Ronan possessed a healing factor which allowed him to recover from injuries in a much shorter timespan than Humans.
